Scope: As one of Canada’s premier museums showcasing natural and human history, the Royal Alberta Museum hosts a wide range of collections, exhibits, and programs. Opened in 1967, it has since outgrown its original space. The new museum, with 82,000 square feet of exhibition space, will be the largest museum in western Canada when it opens in 2018. Ledcor is the general contractor on this design/build project. MCL Power is responsible for the electrical work in the facility. CLAC members employed by these two companies oversaw and participated in all aspects of this project in the heart of Edmonton’s Arts District.
