Scope: With an estimated 4.6 billion barrels of bitumen resources, Kearl is considered one of the highest-quality oilsands deposits in Canada. The Kearl Oil Sands Project is an open-pit mine that was developed mainly by CLAC members over two stages—the Kearl Initial Development and the Kearl Expansion Project.
