Scope: Rankin was hired to build 67 Siemens 2.22MW wind turbines. Part of the project included building 70 kilometres of new access roads, maintaining existing roads, and improving intersections to deliver the turbines and towers. CLAC members employed as forepersons, carpenters, form setters, skilled labourers, grade persons, cement finishers, and pipelayers constructed reinforced turbine foundations, concrete foundations for the transmission line, operational and maintenance buildings, and roadways. They also installed and removed crane pads at each turbine, formed and poured concrete, and installed anchor bolt assemblies and electrical conduits.
